Sony Alpha A200 DSLR Camera Bundle + 3 Lenses, Flash, Bag, Grip - Tested

About this item

Sony Alpha A200 DSLR Bundle — Beginner Starter Kit

A complete, ready-to-shoot DSLR outfit: three lenses, a proper flashgun, battery grip, tripod and remote. Everything needed to start taking pictures properly, with nothing else to buy.

The camera

• Sony Alpha DSLR-A200 body — 10.2 megapixel APS-C sensor
• Super SteadyShot stabilisation is built into the body, so every lens fitted to it is stabilised
• 2.7in rear screen, optical viewfinder, pop-up flash
• Genuine Sony neck strap

Three lenses, all Sony A-mount

• Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 — the standard kit zoom, wide to short telephoto. Supplied with its hood.
• Sony DT 55-200mm f/4-5.6 (SAL55200) — telephoto zoom for sport, wildlife and portraits. Supplied with its hood and a Hoya 55mm UV filter.
• Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 UC Zoom — faster mid-range zoom, the better choice indoors and in low light. Supplied with its hood.

Flash

• Sigma EF-530 DG Super — proper hotshoe flashgun with a bounce and swivel head, far more powerful and far more flattering than the camera's built-in flash.

Accessories

• Hähnel HS-A350 battery grip
• Sony BC-VM10 battery charger with UK mains lead
• Blumax NP-FM500H battery
• Yongnuo remote shutter release
• Tripod
• Original Sony printed manuals for the camera and the 55-200mm lens
• Sony application software CD

Condition and testing

• Lenses mount and focus, the shutter fires, the flash fires, the grip powers the camera
• Used equipment with normal handling marks for its age. Nothing is cracked and no glass is damaged.

Please read before buying

• This camera takes CompactFlash (CF) cards, not SD. A card is not included.
• The battery and the battery grip are third-party items, not Sony.
• Shutter count is unknown.
• The software CD is from the Windows XP and Vista era and will not install on a current computer. It isn't needed — the camera connects over USB as a standard device and the files open in any modern photo software.

Worth knowing

Sony A-mount was discontinued, which is the only reason a kit this size sells for a fraction of what it cost new. The lenses are not stranded by that: a low-cost adapter fits them to Sony E-mount mirrorless bodies, so they stay useful well beyond this camera.

Postage and returns

• Packed properly and posted within one working day of payment.
• Any question at all, message me before you buy. Happy to check anything or take more photographs.
